Our buyers take the necessary time and attention to assess your jewelry items. Each piece will be carefully examined, weighed, and evaluated based on the type of metal and its purity. Our buyers never offer a price without conducting this assessment. If you’ve been to other buyers who have given you a price without a thorough evaluation, chances are you didn’t receive a good offer. Our buyers will explain the entire process in detail and answer any questions you may have. Contrary to popular belief, precious metal buying is not a secretive industry, and most of us are eager to share our knowledge and expertise in the trade.

The process of determining the value of your gold, silver, platinum, or diamond jewelry is quite straightforward. We conduct the evaluation right in front of you, so you can comprehend every step of the process. Your items are never taken out of your sight. We assess items based on five categories:

Type of metal
Purity of the metal
Weight of the item
Inclusions and/or overall condition
Current market price (or spot price)

Diamonds can increase the value of jewelry and may be included in the final pricing. Smaller diamonds, commonly referred to as melee, typically under .20 carats, are mass-produced and not likely to add substantial value to your jewelry. Other gemstones, such as semi-precious stones, do not hold significant resale value. Depending on the size of the gemstone, we may deduct its weight from the overall weight of the jewelry piece to determine the value of the precious metal.

Type of metal
Purity of the metal
Weight of the item
Inclusions and/or overall condition
Current market price (or spot price)
